(A cute, emotional story for children) Scotch to the rescue

I slowly opened my deep brown eyes. I found myself, the girl who had long strawberry blond hair tied up in a ponytail with few bangs left untied, sitting on a chair with my light rose complexioned skin tied to the chair. It was a dark, gloomy place lit up with a single dim light bulb on top of me. Where was I? I slowly started to recall what I had gone through. Then it all came back to me in a flash.

I was walking alongside the street with my only family, my dog Scotch. I lost my parents in a calamity in the sea when I was nine as we were sea merchants. Since then I had been brought up by my nanny, Nessa, on land. She was the one who gifted me Scotch on my 18th birthday. He had furry, silky brown hair, with large, round hazel eyes. He looks so beautiful that I had to lift him in my arms and cuddle him. He was a Labrador. As I lifted him up I could feel a strong bond between us and from then on nothing could ever separate us. But this day is the most unfortunate day ever. I lost my nanny at the age of twenty-one.

I walked and walked with the feeling of deprivation in me until I reached home, the Scott Penthouse. I was the new owner of the Lara Scott Company and I earned in billions which allowed us to live in luxury, unlike my parent’s business. But no amount of money could stop me from barging into my home, collapsing on my bed and weeping loudly. Scotch saw me and ran out of my room and brought back some tissue papers for me to wipe my tears, and rejoice that I haven’t lost all my family. Then he jumped onto the bed and started licking my face. He was the only one who understood me. I love my dog, Scotch.

After two days I was taking a walk with my furball, Scotch on a deserted street, and out of the blue, I saw some people approaching us. Scotch pulled my dress in the other direction but I did not budge. Then the next thing I knew was them making me unconscious by hitting me hard on my head using a big stone and me falling unconscious with a ‘Thud!’ on the ground.

Now here I am, waiting. Waiting for fate to play its part. I was playing with life and death. A mafia approached me. He was a muscular man with chestnut brown hair. He said

“Evelyn. You are so beautiful yet so innocent. Shall we make a deal? If you give me all the money you earn, marry me, and not tell the cops that I kidnapped you, I will let you go. What do you say?”

I was too scared to answer. But after a while, I gathered all my courage and spoke,

“Never in my lifetime will I- ”

Before I could finish my sentence I could hear the cop’s siren. Then I looked at the mafia, who looked horrified and thought to myself,

“I'll be fine cause the cops have arrived.”

The next movement I was in my house seated beside my lovely Scotch on my couch talking to the officer cop. He told me that Scotch barged into the police station and signaled them to follow him. First, the cops just wanted to have some fun by following it but when they saw some bloodstains on scotch’s body, they braced themselves with weapons and followed Scotch. Scotch, as it is a dog has very strong capability to track scents and Scotch led them to me.

After hearing that story, I felt hot tears running down my cheek.  Then I controlled my emotions, thanked the officer, and bid goodbye to him. After he had gone, I ran towards my dog and hugged it while tears of joy, insecureness, and sadness were flowing down my cheek. If it wasn’t for Scotch, I would have met my maker a long time ago. I owed my precious life to him. After a few days, I organized a party just for him. I love my Scotch and he will forever be mine.
